>Ace Combat and Tekken get new games
>Klonoa and Pac Man World get remakes
when will Namco give a chance to this franchise?

Ace Combat 7 is over 6 years old. The series is dead again. Where would they even go in the timeline anyway since Ace Combat 3 is cyberpunk futuristic shit set in 2030?

They don't have to "go" anywhere. Literally just remaster the PS2 trilogy. It's that easy. Just update the visuals slightly, make the game run on modern resolutions with somewhat modern graphic options, add achievements and sell the whole thing (all three games in a bundle) for like 40-50 bucks. I don't understand why they don't do it. PS2 emulation for these games is still not perfect.

It's the biggest leap in taste for a genre since the birth of bullet hell.

Make 80's Ace Combat or something. Or alternatively go even further back and make a WW1/WW2 ace combat

With AC7 set in 2019 and AC3 in 2040, they have time to set up the cyberpunk stuff of 3 or they could just go beyond 3

The main reason I can think of is that they have to re-license all the planes and shit again.

releasing HD versions of the PS2 trilogy would cost too much cause plane licensing.

The rise of game development costs has narrowed down what publishers are willing to greenlight. Each IP needs an ambassador of sorts who is willing to put their career on the line to get it made.

This is why there hasn't been a new SoulCalibur as Harada previously mentioned. Unless someone on the inside really pushes for it, it's not happening.

Namco is an anime slop company now. They don't give a shit about their legacy IP and probably don't see an audience for it outside some millennials who didn't start a family and still play videogames.

They could do a Kickstarter or something, just to help with the cost. I'm sure that the Ace Combat community would pay for it.
