Played 90% of the game with her solo. It was boring.

Its more like shes the easiest, with the least amount of steps, that can do the most amount of damage, with the earliest amount of Lumina's.
Both Before and After the damage cap. But sciel is actually my favourite to play as and has potential about as equal, it just takes way more effort and time.

Which is untenable in a game where you have to dodge or parry every fake ass attack. Shes not built for this type of game. The game needs better ways to stop the opponent from attacking period. Among other problem and flaws, like none of the synergy building meaning anything, and the fact that before I built shields for Sciel, I could get through every single fight with her basically immediately dying and still win, because once i got the rythm of parrying (eased by shield build) defense was a complete joke aspect of the game. The only thing, is that without the shield build, it would be more tedious and trial and error for reasons I wont waste my time mentioning because retards simply wont get it.

Despite all this criticism, and the fact that the game isnt even close to my top 15.

It made me open to the idea of liking JRPGs with its syngergistic systems. Genuinely well designed. Just not well put together, if that makes sense. (Lack of forethought in why or how particular Luminas should be used to overcome challenge, because there is none, strategically, or mechanically. Its halfway between the two)

i actually got my first million + damage with sciel it came as quite a shock considering she was my 3rd damage dealer in the cast. her 3rd gradient is extremely OP. especially with the right lumina & skill setups.

Verso and even Sciel are more broken for those that engage with the game mechanics. Maelle is broken for scrubs that played on normal with no modifiers and stendhaled everything.

what a shame, he's so OP in late game that he makes Maelle look like support.

I don't think Maelle is that good until act 3. She spikes super early in act 1, especially if you got her weapon, but she has poor multi-hit moves compared to Verso or especially Lune's Trick->Genesis. Without that weapon, she definitely falls off even quicker since your setup to get to Virtuoso is either being targeted then parrying, or using a move to put you in it.
