>>715122925If you like turn based JRPGs, LoD is a must play. Combat is mechanically interesting, if a bit imbalanced once you figure out the quirks. And like that other anon said, the game has such rich lore you can easily immerse yourself in its world. The creature design is incredibly unique too, with Dragon designs you won't see anywhere else. The characters are also very enjoyable aside from one in Disc 3; you'll know them when you see them and getting to learn about them and watch them grow as people, especially during specific points in Disc 2 and Disc 4.
My only gripes about the game myself are the music can be a bit directionless, the story as a whole is pretty cliche by modern standards (though the characters do a lot of the heavy lifting so it evens out), and the aforementioned game balance where magic is insanely OP and Dragoons have too many downsides to be worth using, especially when specific bosses are designed specifically to counter them. But despite this, I still adore it and do a yearly replay.
Also fuck the Grand Jewel. Fuck it to hell.
