If MGS4 is on it then its likely causing the delay. I remember from interviews at the time that MGS4 is pretty much held together with tape and is a coding nightmare. So if they're going to port it and it not be a complete clusterfuck, they'll have to redo everything in a better engine.

It fixes alot of small issues of 3, like octocamo vs pausing constantly. The circle around you for sound or to make you aware of nearby enemies is nice. Movement is better, CQC better. The issue is MGS3 is a real fucking game, and MGS4 is cobbled pieces of what could have been a great game. Act 1 and 2 show glimpses of what you should expect going in, but its downhill afterwards.

MGS4 will forever be trapped on the PS3. It's okay though because you can just look up a "Metal Gear Solid 4 All Cutscenes and Codex Calls 1080p HD" video on Youtube and get the exact same experience.
