>let's put a quest critical NPC in the same area that a bunch of similar looking NPCs just ambushed the player and tried to kill them and expect the player to not immediately blow his head off
What were they thinking
>>715130516 (OP)Just started this again, you can kill that guy?
>>715130516 (OP)I was genuinely confused as shit when I saw all of the failed quest markers coming up. Thank fuck I'm an autist who manually saves before anything.
I'm literally the Burning Man.
*tips fedora* *teleports away* *whispers remember to upvote!*
>Ambush happens
>Kill everyone, fighting dies down, you're left alone to find where to go
>Go down a path
>See a guy waving atop a cliff
>Immediately kill him
What? Do you not check to see if it's a friendly before blowing them away? They even put him on top of a cliff, so it's not like he rounds a corner with a gun in his hands.
>>715130884My first time I had opened fire on the guy he kills with an automatic weapon and hit him without noticing him.
>>715131102Then that's just a goofy accident where you reload your save. It happens. That's the nature of sandbox kinds of games where you can actually kill whoever you want.
worst part is you fail all the quests if you kill him, should have been some random one trick pony npc but noooo
>tribe of humans who can barely speak english and act like total nogs to everyone.
>so retarded caesar, didnt even want to use them aside from literal fodder to try to kill Graham
>backstory is they got into an armory full of tommy guns
>somehow still have enough ammo and mechanical knowledge to maintain .50 ae bullpup SMGs, 50 BMG AMRs, and drum fed auto shotguns
what were they thinking
Does it stop combat when he's remotely close? That's a good point though. From memory, he comes up 30 seconds after the initial ambush.
>>715132619Ulysses showed them how to maintain their arms and get into the vault. The reason they all have a similar hairdo to him is because they venerate him but he views its as disgraceful because they arent even apart of his old tribal customs and identity. The problem is the WL are vermin. They salt the land, kill everyone they see, dont know how to interact with anybody to foster relationships and alliances for the future. Caesar saw them as a tool to be discarded with once they killed the New Canaanites and he probably enjoyed the idea of finally letting his Legionaries slaughter them all.
>>715130516 (OP)>What were they thinking"Surely by now the player understands the compass indicates friendly and hostile NPCs with different colours." They could've thrown this guy to show up during the ambush instead of a minute after it, and it would still be your fault if you choose to shoot him.
>>715132619That's not the most egregious issue with this DLC for me.
>45ACP is stronger than 10MM
>>715136683>the compass indicatesThe compass indicators based entirely on your PER stat? You might want to stop playing with ED-E and his Maximum Compass Indicator perk and check how far those little blips spawn when you're using 5 or less Perception.
>>715136834apparently they designed the .45 guns to be overpowered on purpose, because they knew the "muh two world wars" crowd would expect a M1911 to blow someone's head off with ease or whatever.
>>715130516 (OP)>let's put a quest critical NPC in the same area that a bunch of similar looking NPCs just ambushed the player and tried to kill them and expect the player to not immediately blow his head off>What were they thinkingPerhaps its a clever commentary. In your understandable zeal to blast every injun on sight after watching your associates be slaughtered by them you inadvertently shot a friendly one because he was the wrong color. You did a racism; but an understandable one.
