Technically, the ending where everything goes right and everyone is happy is the "Best" ending that you get when you go through a challenge run. But every other ending is just as interesting, if not more, so you're encouraged to play every possible build to see them all.

not the same thing 1 for 1 but in the game geneforge, old ass rpg, you gain powers by absorbing weird mutations that make you more and more of a fucked up freak, and characters will tend to react differently based on how fuck up you are from absorbing more powers
in the first game it was like 90% of the skills were learned that way but in the later entries there's a mix of traditional training so it's more of an ethical choice which is neat
