I played it with my boyfriend and we had a blast. 10/10 gameplay and visuals and lots of references to old games.
Shame the story and characters were so retarded.
>>715136492 (OP)How was it compared to the other 2 games from the same dev team? Got them to play with a friend.
>>715136492 (OP)Pretty much the story is just a vehicle for the whole game to happens, they didn’t put too much effort in it (i hope, or else the writers are just massive hacks).
But the game itself is fantastic
Game is strongly 'lesbian coded'
>>715136492 (OP)It’s really good, story is retarded tho
>>715139712It's better than all of them, but some levels drag on, specially the dragon level
My complaints about the game is that it's too similar to It takes two gameplay-wise (there was a pretty big difference between A way out and It takes two) and I also miss all the side characters in It takes two (especially the book).
It doesn't matter how well you write these two main characters if they're the only people in the entire game. They will get boring.
When they hit the spot Hazelight make some of the most creative games in the industry, the side stories in particular are a fantastic example of this
Just like It Takes Two though, Split Fiction has stronger moments and weaker moments, It Takes Two peaked around the space themed and fairytale castle themed levels in the middle of the game while Split Fiction starts stronger and becomes a bit more samey as it goes on
>>715136492 (OP)you will never be a woman
We got as far as the 3rd or 4th time back in Cyber Ninja City, couldn't take the writing or voice acting anymore (we experimented with different dub languages just to try and overcome this), and then got a refund.
The gameplay wasn't anything to write home about.
