I don't even care that much about Switch 2 games, I just want more Switch 1 updates. - /v/ (#715141047) [Archived: 530 hours ago]

Holy shit man, Pokemon Scarlet actually working is so jarring. And 3D World and Bowser's Fury running perfectly actually makes me want to replay those games again, I couldn't even slog through the dogshit framerate of Bowser's Fury on Switch 1. And fucking Mario Odyssey, and Link's Awakening? These games look and run absolutely marvelous now.

Games I want to get Switch 2 updates, don't even have to be Switch 2 editions, a simple res and framerate boost will suffice.

>Bayo 1 2 and 3
>Astral Chain
>Pikmin 1+2, 3 and 4 (mouse functionality possibly?)
>Metroid Prime Remastered (with 120fps and mouse functionality)
>Tropical Dong Freeze
>Fire Emblem Three Houses and Engage
>Pokemon Sword, Snap, Arceus, because why not?
>Pokken DX
>Mario Wonder
>Mario Maker 2 (mouse functionality also)

Only Switch 2 games I even give a shit about are Bananza and Prime 4, elsewise I'm just waiting for new Mario and Pokemon.

You could've been playing all these games with great performance for years already if you had just emulated them.

I did emulate a few of them, but it's just comfier actually being optimized for the Switch 2. Also being able to casually carry it around anywhere with a 1080p screen. Also several had framerate locks. Also how could I forget Smash Ultimate, that one I'll actually take a Switch 2 Edition for online 4k comfy nights. And you cannot just "emulate" mouse controls. Honestly think motion control aiming for Prime Remastered works better with Joy-Con 2s, feels tighter and more accurate.

oh and F-Zero GX on Switch 2 mogs pretty much any kind of PC emulation there is. I know because I've tried it. The absolute most I'll give PC is that you can use Lossless Scaling to emulate F-Zero GX at 4K 120fps. But you inevitably get glitching and some degree of input lag. For Switch 2 with Gamecube controller that shit just fucking works perfectly.
