If you want complexity, I'll point you to DST, they made an entire complex system of farming and people just do like 3 crops if they ever bother with it at all despite there being like 9+. You can try and invoke soil exhaustion and mineral replentishment and more, but you're just not getting that.

Look I dunno if you're some kind of weird dude who also has shit like a masters in botany or general farming but unless the game is hard focused on it, its not interesting. Just objectively speaking, its not engaging interesting or even often worth it, there's little to no point in pretending that tilling soil and properly balancing PH, adding nitrous to the fields and so on is fun or compelling or interesting or anything else. The point of Rimworld has always been a not too well optimized combat engine and the natural steps of preparation for bad events. Farming is like hunting, its a means to an end, with some level of internal mechanics baked into it like everything else but which is most definitely secondary to the nature of the medical system research system and combat system alongside the materials system.

It's just not interesting or worth it.

Holy fuck, pretty ballsy to ask for more money when this is just a compilation of mods in itself. This game is okay but there's just too much basic shit that's missing.
I like that opposite to dwarf fort this game really tries to tell you what's going on, ie the 'i' icon on everything, but there really isn't enough redeeming qualities to convince me this is worth more than 40 for everything. Base game should be 20, 5/10 for DLC.

as far as AI goes it's pretty damn solid in rimworld
>they actively seek cover
>they spread out to overwhelm you
>they retreat if damaged
>if they see the raid is not worth continuing they'll just steal your pawns and leave
>if randy hates you in particular they will also avoid your traps and killboxes
what more do you want? rimworld does a better job in combat AI than most modern total war games
