>>715159203 (OP)The original GC North American, the European GameCube/Wii Trilogy, or the Remake Switch release? They're all different.
On paper the GameCube American first batch release is the best one, provided you can readjust to the controls, because of the number of exploits that allow funny sequence breaking which add replayablity. Then the discounted Player's Choice (20 dollars MSRP) fixed the bugs and readjusted the game to be like the European counterpart which removed all the funny exploits which only seasoned players could pull off.
The Wii trilogy port is the same as the European neutered version. The Switch remake gets rid of load times, adds many control options, and has remade textures. But it still runs on the fixed European neutered port changes that minimize sequence breaking exploits. If you're gonna play it once and be done it'll be fine. If you're a returning player you're gonna get mad by all the fun removals. It is priced reasonably lower than a full retail game despite being more than a remaster, but a near remake. A lot of yes/no because the GameCube controls...are dogshit, lol, I had to use modern controls on the Switch. I grew out of those old controls but who knows if you'll readjust.
