Every Playstation controller iteration is better in every way. They all have a good dpad, 4 face buttons, and 2 menu buttons like the SNES controller. But they also have triggers, ergonomic handles for better hand fit, and eventually dual analog sticks for 360 degree character and camera movement for 3D games.
