I don't have a problem if Steven Ogg is really that way. What I do have a problem with is older men who whole-heartedly buy into this perception that being a sociable man whole women love means being slightly quirky, sensitive, and humble. Basically what I'm saying is that I think that most of these guys are faking it, and aren't really like that behind closed doors, and only do it for women, whether they're conscious of it or not. It's either that, or they lack the backbone to differentiate their personality from the collective and assert themselves as an individual, which you'd expect an older man to have done already.

He never cared in the first place and what you are quoting is reddit headcanon because they see red and immediatelly think someone's bleeding. He never said "im not a cartoon i hate cartoons wuaaaagh".
The real story always was that every fucking single guy never called him Steven. It was always "Hey Trevor!" Whenever someone approached him, and that was what he hated. He loved doing the gig, he willingly participated in stuff like that one Corridor short about IRL GTA, and so on. He does not resent the role itself, just that his name gets erased by it.
He had several interviews where he explained, but retards never listen and still insist he hates Trevor because he hates being a cartoon, when that was an entirely different quote of his where he was just describing the character, because that creates tasty, yummy drama.
