My backlog is now so extensive that I could play a new one every month and it would take 31 years to get through it.
I'll never have to buy another video game.

I don't understand the point of a backlog. Are there really that many games you want to play?

Yeah I bought all the good ones on sale over a period of 20 years.

Right... Well, while you were collecting games, other people bought them and played them. I hope you manage to play video games one day.

Yes
Works created prior to the last year continue to be enjoyable. You don't have to just play the new thing. Some people enjoy a video game for the game itself instead of just because other people are playing it

>play a new one every month
Do you play only 1 hour per day or something?

If that were true, then I would never have to hear from those people. I have to wonder why they're replying to me instead of being Sigma Males or whatever they think they are. Really weird to hear "i don't need to speak to people :)" in my 1% of the board visible. That means not only does someone need to socialise, but they're dodging the rest of the board where it's happening.

I've finally gotten to the point where I check sales and there isn't a single game I want
so its time to chip away at the ol backlog

I think I’m fucking bored of games but I’m bored of everything else too

>emulation grants access to huge libraries
>"big" games from yesteryear go on routine sales for 50% off or more
The low cost of software combined with unparalleled software availability is one of the biggest selling points of PC gaming. Consoles have a habit of fucking you over because they know a port is essentially dead when the target platform is phased out.
