>>715184035Accuracy is important to rhythm games since you're mostly relying on your own internal rhythm/metronome to be accurate. If you've never played a keysounded rhythm game like beatmania IIDX or something, it's hard to describe. Basically, a sound is made when the key is pressed. In a perfect world (namely actual arcade cabinets that are built for this sort of thing) the sound happens the nanosecond the input is registered.
Now, imagine if, when you pressed an input, the sound happed ~20-40ms later. That might not sound like a lot, but that is an absolutely fucking massive amount of time when it comes to rhythm games, especially keysounded ones where all the instruments happen later than you expect them to.
