Just got this for free (on PS5). I love PoE2. What am I in for?

Haven't played it but D3 was shit, current year Blizzard is shit, Activision is shit, and M$ is shit.

Smart money is on it being complete shit.

a mediocre campaign with some cool cutscenes and a dreadful boring post story endgame

diablo 3 but even worse

it was fun for awhile but i did not enjoy the endgame

It's only decent if you play through the story (first ~60 levels) with a friend. Level scaling and item vomit is atrocious.

Better controls and aiming in d4 right off the bat. D4 is much better than POE2 on controller
D4 also has higher production values, VA, graphics, sound effects music all better in D4, you get more area to explore while POE2's zones are quite small.
You get more player freedom and expression in POE2 in how you build your character. D4 is quite restrictive, with 3 viable archetypes per class
On DLC, D4 has the expansion that adds another area to the map and another class and expensive $25 cosmetic armors and a $10 battle pass every 3 months
POE2's cosmetic DLC can reach over the $50 mark, and it has what should be free player UI options like stash tabs locked behind DLC as well
If you have a PS5 Pro POE2 gives you more options on how you want the graphics set up. You get the full 4k120fps. You can choose between PSSR and FSR, If you want to lower the resolution but keep the high framerate.
POE2 is quite ugly on base PS5
D4 just does 4k/60 with improved textures on pro
