Just turn the game off once you start getting really mad and have solace in the fact that, when you sleep it off and come back tomorrow, you'll be objectively better at it. Overnight, your brain will subconsciously internalize all of the muscle memory you taught yourself. That's why you actually get worse the longer you try at something. Your brain starts breaking down. You need to accept that sleeping it off is apart of the process of getting good, and it's not any sort of concession

don't think about the thing that made you angry, or what you want to do to whatever they/it caused it, just stop, feel the anger for a bit, like sit in the middle of the anger and just feel pissed off then imagine it passing you by, feel like its moving past. The main issue with getting mad is either you refuse to acknowledge you're mad so it festers, or you indulge in the anger and it compounds. It helps to just acknowledge to yourself you're pissed, focus on feeling the anger for a bit, then letting it pass you by.

the buddhist practice of mindfulness, meditate at least 30 minutes a day, recognise thoughts, let them go when you notice them. They call this the taming of the monkey brain, it trains you to let your emotions not take hold of you.

Srs answer: the only time I get mad at games is when I'm not in the right headspace. Usually this revolves around when a job I'm at starts to suck amd follows me home. It makes it where I NEED to be constantly winning because my job feels like I'm constantly losing. Unfortunately this is the case fir most adult, well respected jobs that aren't yuppie manager WFH jobs (jealous as I am of those).

Conclusion: NEET is best for mental health which is best for vidya.
