Turns out the game is actually fucking good, surprisingly BEEFY with a TON of content (which you wouldn't expect at first) and also against the stereotype of Muso games being simplistic can be surprisingly tough.
Yeah the small soldiers are just fodder, but (like in the OG Hyrule Warriors) the elite enemies are proper foes and can put some serious hurt on you.
And especially with the DLC, the map selection basically covers almost the entirety of the BotW world map. Every area of interested is represented.
Certainly looking forward to Age of Imprisonment and how the devs will use the fact that this is tens of thousands of years earlier to play around with the general geography. Also which characters will be playable. It will probably be far more than just Zelda, Rauru, Sonia, Mineru and the other 4 Sages, probably AT LEAST 4 characters more, up to 10 characters more. Could see them bust out some legacy characters, change their designs to fit the art style and then move them back. Basically as a justification why items like Majora's Mask or the Fierce Deity set exist in TotK and BotW.
The "Zonai Hero" whose set you get in TotK will probably be playable just as a character to inherit Link's moveset or something. We will probably also get to see Sonia's and Rauru's child (they need to have propagated the royal bloodline after all).
