I have a confession. I only did ~10 substories in this game
I only did 2/3 of them in 0/K1/K2 also. starting with 4 I did every substory in every game in the series. kinda want to go back and finish the ones I didn't do

The running from a crossdresser (which they translated to tranny well before the mental illness arrived from the west) is actually terrible. Sure, they caved like the tranny faggots they were hoping to duck, but imo, nothing of value was lost. I would go so far to say that the running minigame is the worst part of 3, and not having to do it 2 or 3 extra times is just fine.

The PS3 version doesn't even have mahjong or the cabaret girls, so that's an instant negative.

nta, but it's because it's a clunky mess. Yakuza 2 has a Remake, which is likely the game you bought. It was remade in their upgraded engine. Y4 and Y5 are on the same engine as Y0, which still holds up. Y3 is on the older one with super clunky animations. The remaster basically just readds stuff like mahjong and fixes up the blurry textures.

They are going to do a Remake of Y3, probably in 2026 or 2027, before they release Y9 / LAD9.

>>715227916
Shogi Droid app for shogi, it simulates the game, you just set where the cpu goes and then it tells you where to move. It's way too complicated. Mahjong on the other hand is ridiculously fun once you get into it, but the learning curve is a major hurdle.

The most arcade games is either Yakuza 0 or Yakuza 7 (Like a Dragon). Y5 has some Taiko drums, and Y6 has Puyo. There's also quite a few in the Judgment games. You can check them all out on the faq site; just type Yakuza X faq to find them:

you can complete most of the shogi requirements for the CP list just by doing the shogi challenges which doesn't require you to actually learn the game. I think there's only one or two games that really put the shogi requirements high. I want to say Y5 is the worst offender.

Yakuza 8/RGG/Like a Dragon 8: Infinite Wealth is 3tb. But Cybertroopers isn't there.

If you're playing these for the emulated games, you're going to have a bad time, because some reuse certain games (VF5: Final Showdown was in Y5 or 6, and then Judge Eyes 1-2) and others put one title in and then it's gone for the next game.

You're playing these for the adventure/story mode/gameplay and the arcade games are just a bonus to spend some downtime on.

Weird, I'm the opposite. I think Shogi is simple-enough if you're coming from Chess. The only real "learning curve" is the piece upgrades and all the indivdual pieces (if Sega translated them into English it'd probably be easier to understand).

Mahjohg is just a foriegn language since it changes Gin Rummy into certain things ("No you don't want to open your hand, you'll lose!") when the base concept like Shogi should be simple enough to understand.

Why is platinuming so prevalent in the Yakuza community? You have 20+ games do you really need to milk each one dry

Is it that more prevalent than in most playstation majority communities? I suppose the ingame lists also drive people towards worklike checklisting

Feels like it is, people keep complaining about platinum issues in Yakuza games. Looking at 8's cheevos, 4.4% have a platinum. That's a lot isn't it, for a game as huge as 8

Well the only platinum I have is Drakengard 3 and that seems to be at 12% I imagine its fans are also fairly fanatic.
It's a blessing to have these from GoG and really not care about any achievements that may be there since i'm also not on galaxy.
