>>715218171 (OP)not very. I stop noticing much above 45 or so and don't mind playing old games with shit framerate
I'm a resolution zealot 2880p at 30fps > 4k 60> 1440p 144fps
1440p is for poors
Multiplayer = 60FPS and graphics at Medium
Single player = 30FPS and graphics at Ultra High
going from a 60fps game to a 30fps game makes me frown for a few minutes but then i stop noticing. i do wish bloodborne was 60fps though
>>715218171 (OP)After tasting 144 I can't go back to 60, it feels like molasses
>>715218171 (OP)it makes a noticeable difference to have better framerates
>>715218171 (OP)Input latency below 40 FPS feels so bad.
>>715218591same. whenever I go back to my old consoles I cringe for 2 minutes but quickly acclimate and forget
Middle ground. I donโt need fancy graphics. But, I need 60 frames and anything less is being fed horseshit
Honestly i must be one of those retards who can barely perceive anything beyond 70 fps or so, even on console i can bear 30fps
>>715218171 (OP)Not very. My eyes aren't that great. Anything over 30 FPS and 1080 isn't doing much for me.
>>715219441Most PC dudes are full of shit anyway and are just susceptible to placebo
>>715218171 (OP)anything higher than 30fps is a meme, everything higher than 60 gives an uncanny valley rolling shutter look and is distracting
>>715220207>rolling shutter lookExplain what you think the rolling shutter effect is.
>>715222253It's what their TVs present them with
>>715218171 (OP)I genuinely don't notice a difference unless the frames aren't consistent, but apparently it's a big deal so I don't really care when people use it as a point against a game overall.
>>715218171 (OP)30 feels slow
60 is fine
90 or higher for vr unless you wanna be losing your stomach contents
To me, 60 is enough. I fell for the 144fps meme, but now I have my monitor locked to 60. I don't really notice a significant improvement and my pc sounds like a jet engine when I play anything modern at that framerate.
1080p at 60fps unless the title is locked to 30fps due to age, like FFX.
There's absolutely a visual difference between 30fps and 60fps, denying this is extreme faggot cope and pure denial of reality. As well, giant displays don't matter beyond 1080p. It can be visually immersive to have a 4k display, but no game is made more playable by blowing up the size of the display beyond 1080p. Most games are perfectly playable at 1200x800 720p. Display is pure preference, and overly large displays are more likely to make the gameplay experience worse.
>>715222892I bought Lossless Scaling specifically to try it on FFX, and I was pleasantly surprised by the results.
>>71521863660 is obviously not optimal but it feels fine after using it for about half an hour
>t. 360hz oled chad who recently replayed the original Prey
>>715218171 (OP)Depends on the genre. If it's a single player game I can play with a controller then anything above 30 is fine. If it's a twitchy online multi-player game, I'm not playing it less than 60.
>>715218171 (OP)i think the bare minimum for every single game should be silky smooth 60 fps
>>715222751you should probably get one of those quality high-res 75hz monitors w/ really good colors in the future then
>>715218171 (OP)30 is hell, but i don't notice the difference between 60 and 90, i play with 1080p thou and also don't get why is worse than 1440p, it's literally the same for my eyes
>>715218171 (OP)I'm playing Death Stranding 2 on quality mode because it looks so much more crisp than in performance mode.
>>715225019>it's literally the same for my eyesBecause your monitor doesn't support it.
I feel bad for people who can't enjoy retro games at <60 fps
>>715218171 (OP)I have a 1080p 144hz monitor paired with a 4070ti super
Very picky
>>715218171 (OP)I'm not, It depends on how fast your game expects me to play it though.
If you are giving me 30 fps on some fighting-game tier shit then fuck you.
If you are giving me 60 fps on some stardew valley shit, then that is just worthless and what even was the point
very picky. a game being 60fps capped makes me not want to play it
>>715218171 (OP)I care more about consistency than higher frame-rates, especially regarding gameplay. Those that say otherwise are intellectual midgets.
>>715218171 (OP)Depends on the type of game. Something like CIV or Stellaris can run at 10FPS for all I care, but if I'm playing a competitive shooter I was 120fps minimum. Most games so long as it can hit and maintain 60 I'm generally happy. More is obviously better but for the most part 60 is enough for most action games.
If it's racing games/fps then 60 minimum. The former feels like ass when it gets too low
30 is acceptable if it's ubislop open world though
>>715225847i'm dumb but no retarded
obviously tried with appropiate monitors
>>715218171 (OP)Consistent frame times are more important to me. A game with poor frame pacing can make frequents drops below the framerate cap look worse than a smooth 30.
>>715226676The monitors default to 60hz unless you reconfigure them with its hardware keys.
>>715222054i don't entertain retards, sorry nigger!
