Sonic Adventure 1? Not particularly, it is REALLY janky and has some bad controls. Sonic Adventure 2 improved a lot upon it though.

I don't think Sonic ever quite managed to figure out 3D, but Adventure is the best attempt they made at it.

Stylistically, yes. Mechanically, it needed work. Although the same could be said about Super Mario 64.

Sonic's "jump to 3D", Sonic the Fighters, has beautiful graphics even to this day. But is like playing a super simplified Virtua Fighter where every character has tiny stubby little arms.
I guess I'd still rather play it though because Virtua Fighter is boring.

Absolutely not. Even worse, SEGA rested most of their franchises to focus on Sonic. Massive failure all around

I like SA1 and SA2 and Generations. Outside of that, meh. Some of them are alright, and then you have some really terrible ones.
