Why are there so many infamously bad PC ports? Isn't PC the master race?

PC just sucks compared to dedicated platforms. We get it, you put CJ in the game and can play TF2 with a steering wheel. Here's a better question, why would you want to do any of that? Just feels so Reddit and ingenuine. Like you're afraid of playing as a different character and have to performatively insert Shrek and Thomas the Tank Engine in a completely unrelated game. So detached and silly, are you afraid of having a moment of genuine curiosity and experiencing something tangible that you need to set up barriers between you, the work and an audience you're now inviting on top of it?

Halo 2 Vista was a famously bad port for 2007. Most ports around that time had parity with 360/PS3 with maybe some extras like Physx.
