While playing popular multi-player vidya I'll sometimes get hit with this weird thought about the future of the game I'm playing. The servers being empty except for maybe a 100 regulars still playing until eventually it's a ghost town and shutting down the servers is inevitable.

Does anybody else ever reflect on vidya like this? Or am I just an autistic retard?

there's an issue: some games have a base, and server owners make their own scripts and such, and don't release them after the server shuts down or pass those along to someone else who will host them so now the 'game' is lost forever
