Not really, it's fine outside of the Raid Bosses. No need for slag bullshit again. BL3 has ridiculous scaling for the player to the point that even the +10,000% enemy health modifiers aren't enough, and Wonderlands has a lot of alternative ways than just weapons to kill things. Though it kind of goes the opposite direction of bad balance because you no longer get to play in multiplayer, it's just instant kills for bosses and room clearing the second they spawn. Or it was like that anyway.

So we went from "Badass treasure hunters fight Mad Max marauders on an alien planet" to "Diverse and relatable misfits help the poor and downtrodden rebel against their rich dictator because classism is bad". It's like they took some side missions about the mega corporations from a real Borderlands game and made it the main story.

Anon it's fucking Borderlands. The writing is going to be as quirky and obnoxious as you'd expect. You play this shit for the looty shooty level up skill tree single player MMO experience.

Story trailer makes it seem like they were going down a serious route. Character Trailer for Vex is her freaking out during a "Black Friday"-like event and that's how she got her siren powers because "working in retail is hell. tee-hee." If they do this for the rest of the cast then it's looking like a worst version of Borderlands 3 writing.
