If you're me you get off work and spend three hours with it every night for a few weeks. You even look at the wiki for specific stuff eventually like how to reach resourceful rat and die cause the gameplay changes completely. So do that I suppose.

Like >>715235749 I found Throne easier than Gungeon. I mean both expect you to replay the hell out of them but with Throne I think I landed on Eyes with a shovel fairly quickly and beat it that way.

practice bro. also dodge rolling is a situational tool and you should be more than able to handle most bullet patterns by just moving around them. dodge rolling often will end up putting you in a worse spot more often than not

It was years ago so I don't recall. But if it makes you feel better sure. I just remember my first successful runs involving eyes being able to suck enemies towards them and hiding behind walls to abuse a melee weapons huge hitbox to it my assailants. I did that 60% of the time and it worked 100% of the time.

1. Stop panic dodge rolling. You want to learn how to move around bullets and know what firing pattern enemies use.
2. Learn which enemies are the most dangerous for the room they are in. The poopulons are really bad in big rooms where it takes a while to move between cover. The veteran bullets are bad in small rooms where they can predict your movement
3. Know what guns are good for your passives. Some guns don't work well if you have things like bouncy bullets because they explode away from the enemy. Some guns don't work if they pierce.
4. If you have trouble getting guns, then don't open a chest on the floor until you beat the boss. Bosses auto drop guns if you haven't picked one up on a floor. Guns hold more power for your character then a passive in 80% of cases. Getting something like Ice tray or AK-47 will do more for your run then Heart of Ice or Medikit.

Nuclear Throne's hard mode sucks, it's overtuned and no one seriously plays it.
A better indicator for truly beating an NT run would be making it to loop 3.
