The enslavement is an exaggeration. They're no more slaves than Pokemon are in their series.
The torture and such is optional.

Has anyone made an employment system for Palworld?
Where you pay them an hourly wage for them to work, and you can give them pay raises to increase their effectiveness?
And you can build brothels and MMA style arenas to futher boost their morale.
And instead of battling wild pals you can just pay them money to join you.
That's what Palworld needs, some hearty capitalism.

They're not enslaved they are happy to work for you, they emote flowers and hearts and they smile when they accomplish their work.
But I admit it makes me a bit sad when I kick their ass. Thing is in Pokémon you don't see them shit their pants when they're KO'd. So imagine it's a better version of Pokémon, that's how I deal with the guilt.
