Im trying to buy it second trade on facebook from some dumb mom selling their kids games because "they don't play with it anymore" but sadly a lot of people think the same.
Tried to buy a kyogre SP edition with sapphire from some guy and he was looking for 300 euro. Not to mention all the fake cartridges, thanks Nintendo. Nostalgia is one hell of a drug.

for all you poke man fans out there, it is really easy to hack a 3ds, load every good pokemon game on it, and even transfer pokemon between saves and games without using the official home bs or whatever they're on now. You can even play stadium, colleseum, xd, and get all the rare ribbons and pokemon and transfer them to your modern games totally legit. You can also load up Mystery Gift events to get limited run pokemon from movies, etc, requires little to no computer/hacking knowledge
There is literally no reason to pay hundreds for a second hand copy because you are probably getting a bootleg cart anyways like the fool you are

It boggles my mind that it costs so much. It sold 7mil copies, that's a lot floating around in circulation. I get the idea is supply and demand, and that there's a lot of people that don't want to ditch their childhood copy, but still. It's just weird that a game that I had as a kid and still have in my GBA game binders is so expensive. Like I could sell it and get a game like Rule of Rose that I much more associate with being rare and expensive, and I'd still have money left over.

The prices bumped because of the TCG hype. Every pokemon product doubled or tripled in price, just look at Pricecharting

No one actually buy to play or "collect" because they lost theirs, its just a bunch of normie and speculators buying and keep theirs untill the millenial become 50 years old and they start selling them for 600-700$

Everdrive is like 80$, or better yet you can play them "natively" on a 3DS or emulate them somewhere and yes you can do rom transfer between multiple, gamecube etc
