This entire raid series has tried to bring the bottom up. There are no bad fights. Hell same with the extremes. The devs seem hellbent on not making shit fights anymore.

However; I don’t think we’ve had a stellar fight this expac yet. M8S is held back by an easy phase 2 because it wasn’t a doorboss and had to be easier as a result. M7S is the best 7th fight we’ve ever had but that bar was low.
This entire expac is a bunch of A and B tier fights, were as previous expacs always had C, D and occasionally F fights but also had some S tier ones. Granted we aren’t even at X.3 yet.

FRU is an exception but Id say it’s one if the best ultimates are though

Also the way they distribute content between the patches has always been bad. They should put the first relic step as early as possible, like X.05 or X.1, I think that hasn't happened since ARR. Around the start of HW, including the pre-HW quests, you are 100% all for killing dragons. There was a whole epic battle about killing them. Everyone around you wants to kill dragons. Eventually, you decide that MAYBE, POSSIBLY, it MIGHT be possible to try diplomacy. It doesn't hurt to try, so you decide to see if maybe you can stop the hideous evil rampaging dragon from killing all the humans in an entire region.

In order to do this, you have to gain entrance to the dragon's lair. To do that, you have to fucking genocide the Gnath and kill their god. Their goal? To kill the dragons. They even offer an alliance. It's not even discussed as a possibility. the Gnath are evil and their conquest must be stopped. The POTENTIAL of an alliance with the dragons is worth more than the military independence of an entire culture (because the bugmen are thirdies). Literally an hour of ago the dragons were your sworn enemies, and you are travelling with the world's greatest dragonslayer. Now, you defend dragons at any cost.
