He made it up, Charname's death was made up by WotC, not Larian, Bhaal actually was alive all along and he influenced Charname to go to Baldur's Gate and become grand duke, years passed and eventually Viekang (the bhaalspawn that kept teleporting by accident) came in to fight for some reason, both went crazy and turned into the slayer, one of them died, the winner was put down by adventurers and the flaming fist

Is BG1/2 worth a play in the modern era?
Recently started getting into CRPGs and I'm digging the genre but honestly out of the 5 or so games I've played I feel like the combat has been a miss in all of them after the mid-late game.
