I think the whole thing about Ganondorf swallowing the Secret Stone to become a dragon was a cool twist that also mirrors Zelda's transformation. The lore in general is mediocre in TotK, I just think that part was great.

It's impossible to make a satisfying aerial fight unless the entire game has been designed around aerial fights or at least prepared you for it. It's why all the flying sections in FF16 were dogshit baby's Panzer Dragoon.
