The KILL EVERYONE ON THIS PLANE button should honestly have dual keys that are carried by the pilot and co-pilot and have to be turned at the exact same time.

If you disagree then every single woman of your race who gives birth for the next thirty days should have a man in the delivery room with a baseball bat and he gets to swing the bat whenever he pleases and if he splatters that newborn it gets documented as a OOPSIEWHOOPSIE WE HAD A FUCKYWUCKY and that's the end of it.

Boeing will commission an investigation and find that installing new safety switches on every Boeing plane would cost marginally more than the lawsuits that would result from not doing so and then drop it.
4 years later an employee will leak the report and then die in a sudden accident. Press around the world will cover the death in an utterly credulous tone.

You cannot accidentally change the cutoff levers, you need to pull it, move it, drop it.
It has guardrails so you can't accidentally get to it.
This crash was mass murder commited by the pilot or the most retarded incompetence done on a flight. Just like that other pilot that featered the engines instead of lowering the flaps

they never said it was suicides they just mental gymnastic'd fantasies as to how they could have been pilot error until it became obvious what the actual cause was

regardless with this pajeet flight that isn't a thing software controls and the odds of some mechanical fuckery causing BOTH engines to cutoff at the same time is astronomically low. 1 would be plausible

The game is pretty so-so once you get beyond how cool the controller is. It's really held back by some technical issues like the draw distance being so bad that structures and enemies suffer from pop-in really badly so there's a lot of bullshit moments where you get pelted by stuff that is on sensors but you can't really engage with properly to fight back. It's a total novelty item desu. One day I might bring myself to selling it but it was a gift from my parents so I haven't let it go yet.

In case the pajeet pilots finally came to terms with the fact that they're worthless they could hit it and kill themselves in a fiery crash in the hopes that they might be reincarnated as something slightly more likable than a pajeet like a fruit fly or a gnat

>08:08:42 UTC
The aircraft achieved the maximum recorded airspeed of 180 Knots IAS and immediately thereafter, the Engine 1 and Engine 2 fuel cutoff switches transitioned from RUN to CUTOFF position one after another with a time gap of 01 sec. The Engine N1 and N2 began to decrease from their take-off values as the fuel supply to the engines was cut off.
In the cockpit voice recording, one of the pilots is heard asking the other why did he cutoff.
The other pilot responded that he did not do so.

>08:08:52 UTC
As per the EAFR, the Engine 1 fuel cutoff switch transitioned from CUTOFF to RUN

>08:08:56 UTC
Thereafter the Engine 2 fuel cutoff switch also transitions from CUTOFF to RUN

The fuel was only cut for 10-14 seconds. But it was already too late.
Never trust a Dalit to fly a plane.

You might call it retardation just the same, but it was clearly intentional.
There's no way a trained pilot just accidentally toggles those switches, and the odds of both switches mechanically failing within 1 second of each other are extremely low.

I find human error implausible. Both pilots had a good amount of flight hours in that plane and those switches require a fairly unique and deliberate action to toggle. You wouldn't just accidentally flick them by muscle memory.
Plus you'd basically NEVER touch those switches when the plane is in motion unless there is an engine fire.

You can see the landing gear lever here as well set in the forward instruments near the left screen showing a digital map, located nowhere near the fuel cutoffs.

I remember going over this when it happened because at the time it was assumed the pilots raised flaps, and the flaps controls are next to the throttle lever, also nowhere near the landing gear.

It's fucking outrageous that they'd hit fuel cutoff during takeoff. The report says they managed to restart one engine before shouting mayday and exploding.

Arguably it's one of the best games of the console if you actually play it.
First you learn to play and experience the honeymoon (but in reality you play like shit)
Then you complete some of the most normal missions and get a feeling of "is that it? "
Then you get stuck on a hard mission or loose interest.
BUT when you reach this point if you continue you get to play the cooler missions, you unlock mechs that are not shit with wide screens and digital interface so you actually get to see shit. The game becomes way more interesting.

P.D. you can grab cars and tanks to block bullets with your tiny robot arm, you can even grab cows!

They should put one of those covers you have to lift on top of those switches, and start blaring alarms if they get lifted while the thrust is activated. They still need to be accessible because they're basically the ignition for the plane too and for emergencies, but it should be really damn hard to just flip them off.

No. Even if the other pilot has restarted the engines literally immediately after they were deactivated (impossible since there is no YOU TURNED THE ENGINES OFF, RETARD alarm and it requires several seconds of troubleshooting to see why you lost power), it would have taken the engines ~20 seconds to spin back up. They crashed only like 15 seconds after fuel cutoff. The moment the second switch was flipped, everyone in that plane was dead and there was nothing they could do. They were simply too low.

>I can see how he could somehow do the wrong memory items or do some kind of reset of scenario that he has done in a simulator. If it is coupled with impairment like sleep deprivation or other preoccupation.
The report said that both pilots were assigned a full night's rest before flying and that both passed breathalyzer testing before entering the plane. Neither was impaired.

>Poojeets start flying
>Suddenly there is a need for new safety systems to stop pilots killing themselves and everyone on the plane accidentally

Curious..

Genuine curiosity from the pilot to the copilot as to why he'd do something that would doom everyone on the aircraft to death in a matter of seconds.

Reversed. The copilot was the one flying. His full attention was on manually flying the plane. If it was anyone who's more likely to have flipped the switches on takeoff, it would have been the captain/pilot, who had assigned himself observation duty. The copilot was only like 30 years old btw, I believe it was his final training flight before earning certification as a full pilot of that model airplane.

it was already over at that point
even if they turned the fuel lines back on, there was no way they'd regain enough speed to prevent the plane from crashing

They did. One of the engines didn't start back up.

It's why I don't buy the "pilot suicide" fully. If the dude was attempting to kill himself and everyone around him, they would've made sure both engines weren't able to restart completely.

>not enough time to properly power back on
This is why if it's Boeing; I ain't going. There is no reason fuel cut-off should stop an already on engine within 10 seconds. That shit should already have enough fuel to turn back on with a little mixture pumping back in.

Turbines can't just flick back on like a piston engine. It physically doesn't work that way. It's like trying to start pedaling a bike from a dead stop at max gear. The inertia prevents it from delivering horsepower immediately.

There's no way it was mechanical failure.
>both switches were put into the cut off position
>each switch has its own locking mechanism
>you can move the switches independent of the other
>the switches were found in the wreck back in the run position which means the locking mechanism for both was working and kept the switches in place even through a crash
