the last actual e3 was 2019
the one in 2021 barely counts

2023 is the one that got turbo cancelled bc all the publishers very publicly pulled out so i dunno what you're even talking about

I don't buy the argument that publishers are better off doing their own thing because they can control the narrative. It just hasn't been the same when they did E3 press conferences. I do not care about State of Plays, EA stream, Xbox stream, and even directs on the same level that I did when they did E3 press conferences.

Of course, that was the only reason anyone watched it past 2010.

The whole shitposting culture behind E3 is what really made it special. With Geoff's shows, everyone gets bored to death with the 3-4 hours of ad breaks, dev interviews, music performances and other nonsense.

next fest is better because i can actually play some fucking video games instead of watching some exec on stage pretend to be 22 by wearing a leather jacket and jeans and showing some lame and gay scripted trailer or "deep dive."

that's because you still haven't figured out who E3 was actually for. why they spent so much money on a 3-day show in LA when most video game players (kids) weren't even allowed in.

I'd place the last good e3 around the time Halo 3 was announced. Once that came out, there wasn't much else to look forward to, and gaming overall started declining.
