Yeah, kinda. You can "shortcut" it a bit depending on the game. For most fighters, doing a 632146 input (that's + button) works instead of doing the whole HCBF. Some games are lenient and will register it as a valid input, especially in anime fighters or modern Street Fighter ones. Just make sure you're not rushing it too fast and that your stick/dpad is cleanly recognizing each direction. Timing is everything.
