Something I've also wanted - and this is very taboo - but some sort of user scoring and selected archiving of material. It could be a separate layer on top of 4chan, and you could rate, score, tag, etc. messages and whole discussions. And those would get specially archived and promoted on a separate site, for easier browsing.
