Don't tell me like World and Rise were any better or even more challenging because they were really not. (Or gimmicky, like with the Extremoth)
Now, I agree that the roster is a little weak, and the issues with the story and pacing backed off many players. But let's not forget that Monster Hunter has always been about going past that initial set up story and play the G rank expansion, that's where the games really shine. A lot of normalfags came, got caught in the bad rep mix shenanigans, and started to parrot what everyone said without critical thinking.
If they fuck up G rank, I'll be the first to say it. But right now, the game is gradually becoming better (and plays better, contrary to what many is saying). And it's in bad faith to say otherwise.
