A Giant Barbarian can literally throw their weapon twice in one turn with FREE bonus enchantment you can can at any point to give your equipped weapon any magical damage and the Returning Throw property... with a 90%+ chance to hit the vast majority of enemies. You'll kill almost every enemy you target within the first turn, straight up deleting them from the battle. Thief does that specific job even better with the bullshit Sneak Attack doing double damage system, so that you delete enemies before the first turn even starts.

Fighter and Barbarian have higher damage output for the first half of the game but Paladin mogs them both by the end due to having great damage output and survivability for very little work. In addition, it is a CHA class which means you can skip a ton of encounters by passing the checks.

There's a weapon called the Returning Pike that automatically comes back to your hand after you throw it, and Giant Barbarians get a free-to-cast spell that will enchant any equipped weapon with the same returning property.

It's legitimately one of the most overpowered methods of combat in the game and a lot of fun (don't forget to pick Tavern Brawler as your first or second Feat).

Larian completely missed the point with bg3. They took dos as basis and that was a wrong decision, as advancing the story with long rests. They clearly didn't think this through. Making act 1 that huge, especially choice wise and narrowing down feels bad, act 2 and onwards. Act 2 as total feels like a different game. It's clear the game was initially much bigger and shar and selune played a crucial role, but that was cut and streamlined.
