Severance is one of my top favorite games but Blades of Fire felt like it was straying from what made me actually like Severance.

I liked in Severance that you could just find weapons and that was it so the weapon crafting in BoF turned me off. There seemed to be way too much focus on crafting when I specifically liked Severance for not having it. I feel fatigued by how many games try to have overly complicated item and crafting systems now.

But it is, although you get the ability to consume runes on the weapons to go fire mode a bit late in the game.

there's literally nothing complicated about crafting weapons in this game, your number #1 priority is unlocking more weapon parts and using premium materials to balance penetration, damage and durability as much as possible.
