This correct, in that Americans are unwilling to work for the pitiful amounts that they offer for the hard labour they require, which is why they want their underclass that is willing to work for God awful pay to stay.
Now, you could make the argument that by doing so, those of a leftist economic bent are in fact selling out their own class by endorsing immigration, but that's neither here nor there.

Then again, the reason food is so cheap is because of said cheap labour, so you would likely see a bump in prices if American workers were used instead, which would predominantly affect the petit bourgeoisie, which are also the American left.
Also, it doesn't account for all the other services said American labour would need to replace the current slav- I mean, lower class labour.

Food is already overly expensive despite industrialized agriculture an industry reliance on migrant labor. I'm not sure I buy the argument that the prices will skyrocket, especially since they need to set the prices to what most people can reasonably afford anyways otherwise nobody will buy a particular produce that spiked in price because of an inability to exploit cheap quasi-slave labor. People will buy the food they can afford while absurdly priced produce will rot on grocery store shelves.

They literally don't. They believe entirely in planned economies.
Also: they will support any and all groups and classes that can be easily manipulated and weaponized. Even Marx himself explicitly didn't give a flying fuck about the worker class interest, he only cares about their potential to topple pre-existing order.

Obsession with immigrants exists because they are dumb, frustrated, and easily incited into violence. They need very little pushing to become fantatical mobs than actual current-day working class, and that is why their interests are so paramount.

The point of any theory of conflict is capitalize on pre-existing frustrations and inclinations towards violence, driving a wedge between different social groups and eventually setting the more unstable and aggressive group on the rest of the system. Thus wiping the political state clean while being in good graces with the group that has most physical power and will towards violence, ensuring the new order will emerge with you in it's center.

That has always been the idea behind any philosophy related to works of Marx. Find the group that is most likely to become radicalized, actively hammer in further wedges that alienate it from other social groups, ride their frustration to secure yourself a massive political advantage.
