>defend his retarded kid when the big boomer wants to kill him
>give his family food more than once
>back him up when he wants to kill big boomer, leave big boomer's daughter on the road and steal supplies from car
>offer to end his autistic son's misery
>disagree or question a couple of his decisions that aren't really all that relevant to the plot
>ask him for help when Clementine gets kidnapped
>"gee I don't know man you've always been a piece of shit to me why should I help you now"

Why does /v/ like this scumbag so much?

Because Kenny is peak "feral loyalty." Yeah, he's a walking contradiction-he'll help you bury a kid one minute and punch you out the next-but that’s kinda the point. He’s human. Flawed, emotional, inconsistent... just like everyone else in that hellhole. The man loses everything multiple times and still keeps going. He's not the smartest or most reasonable, but he’s one of the few characters who actually gives a shit beyond his own survival, even if he's trash at expressing it. People relate to that. It's messy, but real.

If the fag writers wanted me to hate him, they shouldn't have vindicated the man at every turn.

There's a "point" system that dictates if Kenny goes with you in the end or not.
Siding with him to kill Larry in the meat locker gives the most points.
Choosing to save Shawn over Duck at the farm loses a lot of points with him.

Blame the writers. I think the intention behind Kenny and the way he was actually executed are at odds with each other. It doesn't seem like he was supposed to be such a petty bitch over minor shit.
Telltale were always bad writers. They took great concepts, great premises, great overarching plots and completely fucked up the moment-to-moment storytelling with dumb bullshit, non-choices, and contrived drama.
In essence, Kenny is a bro.

The amount of mental gymnastics people did to try and explain how Kenny is a racist was hilarious, considering the only "racist" thing he ever did was call Lee "urban"

His point system was buggy or something at some point and that's why Kenny can seem like a petty ass, they patched it I think but the final still gives a lot of weight in killing Larry and Ben

Ben did nothing wrong and Lee is the reason the bandits started targeting the motel because he killed the cannibal family. Lee indirectly caused the death of Katja, Duck, and Carly/Doug.
Prove me wrong.

Okay that's more of a programming fuck up than a writing fuck up I guess.
But they're still bad writers for plenty of other reasons.

Ben should have told them that they are being targeted, giving the group chance to prepare/run. But yeah, Lee and the gang did kill their primary target. But considering the circumstances, it's hard to blame them, the other option was dying.
Some fault lies with Lilly too, due to her stubborn refusal to move locations, even after the supplies were completely scavenged.

Kenny is good as a friend if you are ride or die with him but yeah he can be a pain to deal with if you don't align with him since he usually likes to take leadership of whatever group he's in. This could be avoided if he's with a person that he respects, which are not many, Lee is one and even if they don't leave in the best of terms Kenny can admit he respected the man. Clem is another, she's the only person he actually respects in the second game and that's why he's usually fine with whatever choice she makes, but she's also young so he'll try to sway her to his way in order to protect her.

With the way the adults were fighting like children, he probably thought they wouldn't listen to him. Still stupid, but it makes his actions less malicious.

His point system basically capped at 3 and had no negative cap. You could do a shitload of positive point things and then do one or two negative things later on and fuck yourself completely.

It was fault of the whole Lilly/Kenny power struggle, their constant arguments and bickering made the group tense as fuck, and this was made worse after the meat locker incident. Kenny was right and Larry was a menace but he still remained callous towards Lilly and that's what made her slowly lose it. And this tense environment made Ben feel like an outcast that was never properly integrated into the group and he probably thought that the whole deal with the bandits would escalate things for the worse with them, that's probably why he did it on his own. If the group had been tight-knit they probably would have handled the bandit situation better.

There's no point to this you stupid fuck. Telltale is just dumb and programmed it so if you disagree with him even once he treats it like you are his sworn enemy.

>Right about the boat
The boat he lost in a fight against cancer patients who proceed to show up later and mention it was a bad idea?
