Finally, autismkino is back on the menu
>When do we get to the game?
>This is the game! Yippee!
Do I get to build Japanese sex toys?
>>715367846Too egoistical to name a studio after yourself. I'm looking at you Kojima.
You have beaten all the earlier games without any help, right? You're not, like, some filthy puzzle casual?
>>715367846zach quit to become a highschool teacher then decided he didn't wanna look after snot nosed brats all day and went back to making games
>>715366617 (OP)Damn, what asshole schedules a game release on a Monday?
>>715368553I hope this experience made his games more red-pilled.
>>715366617 (OP)i played the demo but it felt really lifeless. Even Opus Magnum managed to feel fine with just character portraits and alchemical spherical elements. Hell, even TIS made me feel more engaged playing it than this, but i guess the first puzzles should not be that hard anyways. Is Zach actually developing it? Or is it other guys from the zachtronics team?
>>715369148what kind of commie shit is he on
>>715369235iirc it's a worker owned co-op. they're not all that uncommon for small studios
>>715369235probably more of a nerdy guy avoiding hierarchy thing
>>715369512it must relieve a lot of pressure no longer being the head honcho anymore. so when the game flops it's technically everyone's fault not just his
>>715369235It's some weird polygamous sex thing.
Oh nice, Magnum Opus was great and this looks nea-
>NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
BAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA THEY TOOK A SHITTY PUZZLE GAME AND MADE IT SO MY COMPUTER CAN'T RUN IT LOOOOOL NO SALE FAGGOTS
>>715367846>>715367949>>715368553also Zach doesn't even own Zachtronics anymore

>>715370679if you could run his previous games you should be fine
>>715371026If Steam says my computer can't run it, why on Earth would I buy it? Go cry to Gaben about it.
>>715371106anon there's a demo, if you can run that you can run the game. also steam gives refunds
>>715371323Where can I place a bet that you're either a dev or a marketer for this game?
>>715369614not even that
a lot of guys just feel weird about being the "top guy" and ordering people around and would rather work like they are all friend helping each other out
>>715371323fuck off shill. noone likes your shitty ass non-games
>>715369235You are mindbroken.
>>715370873>Sell company>Have all talent quit>Make new company with the same team>Keep making same games as always>????>ProfitWhat a rugpull lmao based
>>715371401>>715371106>>715370679this is what truely brainbroken retardation looks like
there is a demo, and you can just refund the game if it doesn't work
why are you so mad
>>715371401>>715371778I just like autism games and I'm on the fan trannycord
I've had this in my pin filters for years:
>zachtronics|tis-100|spacechem|infinifactory|infiniminer|exapunksso I respond to pretty much every zachtronics thread
>>715371401go play the game you fucking faggot
pirate it or whatever you wanna do
>>715371794The fact that you had multiple screenshots on hand of Discord messages the dev has made (one of which was on this specific point) makes it really, really fucking obvious that you're not just some random poster.
>>715372056>>715372035>>715371794Lmaooooo this faggot just told his Discord brigade to throw shit at me loooool
>>715372067that anon wasn't me this anon was me
>>715372035and like I said I'm obsessed with these kinds of games so that's why I'm more informed than your regular anon.
also I took the screenshots like 5 minutes ago, it's not hard to use the search function
>>715372143nigga I'm not on any Discord server. I just like their games, that's why I'm in this thread
go ahead and pirate it for all I care
>>715370873>In 2022, we stopped working for them and started a new studio called Coincidence>I still work for Alliance and maintain the Zachtronics gamesAm I stupid or does this make no sense?
>>715366617 (OP)I played the demo and it was really bad, like the first 4 levels expected you to place 1 piece each and on the last level you had to place *gasp* two pieces. It doesn't feel like a zach-like at all.
>>715371785I wouldn't call making 10 games before you leave a rug pull
>>715372590The old games are like that where they introduce you to the mechanics. The problem was it should have been a proper demo showcasing what to expect. They really should have given us a harder puzzle. The demo was the tutorial for the main game.
>>715372556i assume he means actively developing new games
he works for them maintaining the codebase as necessary but i doubt that's a full-time job since the games (should) be in a mostly stable state
>>715372769He sold Zachtronics because he did not want to deal with the business side of things right? Wonder how he deal with that now
>>715369148The he is talking about:
David Friedman: Legal Systems Very Different from Ours
>>715373286secret dev and covert marketer shill anon here, he sold it for money reasons
might be why shenzhen had such a big boost in production value compared to his previous games
>>715372964Also, I feel like the learning curve gets easier every Zach game, but the long term difficulty overall is the same. So it makes sense their new game follows that.
>>715372143the world is gangstalking you
Is there anything more pathetic than a teenager pseud that thinks he's smart calling everyone a marketer?
>People are talking about games on /v/? Must be the marketers!
>>715366617 (OP)Neat. Did he ever say why he quit teaching? (Was it the obvious answer?)
>>715374243They were too sexy and he didn't want to commit a crime
>>715374243Probably nostalgic until confronted with the realities of the modern classroom being different from his childhood ones.
do we know how much this is gonna cost
i'm gonna buy it regardless but i don't see the info anywhere
>>715375104probly 20 bucks like his last few games
>>715372590Nigga, they've made like a dozen identical games. You know exactly what to expect.
Is it just me or were the hotkeys a lot worse than in opus magnum?
That games control scheme felt almost instinctual but when ai tried Kaizen every time I checked if there is a hotkey for something it was either missing or had to be rebinded
>>715366617 (OP)reminds me of the alchemist game. might try it out
>>715372143The dev is in your walls. Quick, tie up and torture your family for info on why they're helping him stalk and shill his game at you!
The 970 is 11 years old by now. Just saying.
>>715376438zach's games are all the same game developed for a modest core 2 duo + 8600GT
>>715376903>8600GTThat one is 18 years old. My prebuilt that I bought as a dumb teen came with one.
>>715377069now i'm wondering what my 07ish dell inspiron had in it
i should dig it out of my garage and see if it has any ancient memes on it
>>715377627Most likely a 8400M. Or 8600M if you were a richfag.
What are the best recent indie puzzle games?
>I'm coming out of retirement because... I just am okay!!!!
Based?
>>715380753Pirated and tried it for a bit. Not my cup of coffee.
>>715373313That's a rather surprising takeaway after reading a book from D. Friedman, I'd imagine he'd stress the importance of natural hierarchies. Although I can see where Zach is coming from, if the team consists and will only consists of your closest friends then it might feel uncomfortable for him to be the ultimate decision maker.
>>715380753zach already did it
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1988540/The_Zachtronics_Solitaire_Collection/
>>715382167But it doesn't have Baba on the cards. Plus I missed the Zach solitaire being free so I will remain salty about that.
>>715372556>new studio called Coincidencethe fact that Zach is jewish makes this funnier
>>715367846>we're shutting the studio down now>...Somebody must have brought them a jar of REAL Cambodian breastmilk.
>>715380753https://store.steampowered.com/app/3547010/Occlude/ came out recently too.
>>715383589how about you clean my butthole with your tongue
>>715371785Worker co-ops ARE commieshit thoughbeit
>>715384195they're more anarchist than communist not that you would know that cause you probably shout commieshit reflexively at anything to the left of thatcher
>>715386721>>715387123>open endedjust a code word for a total empty husk SHITSHOW of a game
>>715380123It's stretching the definition of "recent" but I really enjoyed Polimines 2. First one's fine but especially in retrospect it's really just a tutorial for 2.
>>715387413Oh jesus fucking christ it's another picross game. I'd rather blow my brains out.
>>715387567It's more minesweeper than picross but yeah.
>>715380123Shapez 2 is pretty good. There's no real proper puzzles per se, but making a functioning factory is a puzzle in and of itself. If I had to describe in one sentence it I'd call it a cross between Infinifactory and Factorio
>>715387610you ever play hexcells? that's my favorite minesweeper type game
>>715387612it's the definitively worst factory game because it keeps asking you to tear down everything and redo menial tasks ad nauseum until you make a MAM and be done with it
>>715387687I haven't, but it's next on the list after I finish Proverbs.
how much is it going to cost??? i love his games
>>715388231i hope it's $75 so he maximizes the profit from the 100 copies he sells
>>715388076$80 is the new industry standard
Which game should I play next? Bean and Nothingess or UltraNothing?
>>715387612this game was so dull and unengaging, i couldn't make it past 2 hours. should've tried making it a puzzle game instead of abstract factorio. if it wasn't for comparing these two, i'd never realized how much difference the "it's expected to be there" level of context and motivation can make for player experience.
>>715392150Not him but I'm with you there. I played a few hours of Shapez and thought the sequel would just be that but better. But the whole thing just felt like a game about going through the motions over and over.
What time does it come out?
