Are there any games similar to Ridge racer on pc on modern consoles?

I tried the emulated Ridge racer games on ps5, but the ps1 graphics and engine sounds put me off.

No, you just have to play Ridge Racer. Be sure not to skip Rage, R4, RRV and Ridge Racers 1 & 2 on PSP and RR7.
