Why do zoomers love openslop so much?
lol you got mad over some indian's comment on tiktok and you made a whole thread about it
>>715378414it is astounding how bad modern /v/ is
>>715378337 (OP)Escapism.
They don't want to play the game and engage in gameplay mechanics.
If the game doesn't handle traffic correctly, it's better not to include it. Consider how Forza Horizon 5 completely fails in the concept of driving freely in your supercar. There are only short roads that lead nowhere with almost no one driving on them, so it makes no sense to drive on them. That Assetto Corsa mod where you're in heavy traffic on Japanese roads is infinitely more immersive and makes you feel much more like you're actually driving a fast car compared to normal road cars.
>>715378832But engaging with gameplay is how escapism works, what are you talking about?
>>715378832I sure do love the gameplay of hold up and staring at the screen for 5 minutes because the open world slop camp shit don't give anything worthwhile
>>715378965Escapism is when faggots plays open world racing game and tells things to himself that he is so cool and successful since he drives those cool expensive cars.
Escapism is when you want to escape from reality. Focusing on doing something to the point that you forget that you or anything else exists isn't escapism since it would mean that if you don't sit on Twitter reading news 24/7 then you are escaping reality.
>>715379119I meant that they don't like playing the game, and they don't like engaging in gameplay mechanics.
>>715380206Gran Turismo 7 has no decent gameplay mechanics. It's basically an online competitive racing game.
The rest (single player) is:
>an absolutely atrocious campaign where you have to collect cars and go to the café to unlock new pages with more cars to collect>time trial events with gold, silver, and bronze medals (the only fun thing in the game)>races where you start 30 seconds behind the leader and have to pass everyone while they deliberately drive slowly to give you a chanceThese are the basic gameplay mechanics of GT7. It's completely understandable why some people want something more.
The single player mode in that game is complete garbage.
Bonus:
The single player races don't work because the speed of your opponents depends on your speed. They drive slowly when you're slow, and fast when you're fast. It's no use turning off "boost" in the options when you create races against the AI.
open world is only good if you build a game alongside it to use its full potential, not shoehorn it. i can't think of a lot of games that fit the bill though. maybe no man's sky.
>>715381998This is the case with Eurotruck.
So the idea would be to make a game with sports cars, something like what was done with Eurotruck: a really big map, where you need to plan your trips according to the road map, and you have deadlines to get between various points.
>>715381998>>715382497Tofu delivery.
You have to plan your routes, mind the G force and traffic. Basically teaching you to go places as fast and safe as possible.
>>715378832>>715380097Said the NEET who plays video games all day
>>715383924A porn game would work too. You get a call from some hot slut, and you have to get in her house within a certain time to have a chance to fuck her. If you take too long, when you get to her house she's already in bed with that fat bald NTR guy.
>>715378337 (OP)>Why do zoomers love openslopBecause much like their lives, open slop has no direction or real sense of purpose.
They would call this freedom of choice but really what it is, is aimless distraction.
Have you ever seen a Zoomer play a game? All they do is go in circles and do nothing really except put on a headset and talk about nothing with someone on the other end.
Kill all "open world" enthusiasts
>>715386145fucking anti-nintendo bigot
>why do people want more places to drive around in a driving game instead of being stuck on loops you pick from a menu?
surely one day you'll figure out why
>>715378337 (OP)GT7, a game series about the love of car history and racing, having a game mode where you can experience a core aspect of driving??? AAAAAHHHHH NIGGERMAN SAVE ME FROM THIS ZOOMER IDEA!!!!
Autism should be illegal.
>steal car
>start driving
>it's boring
>bring up map for interesting places
>drive to the few that caught my attention
>now there's nothing to do but missions
>they're shit
>uninstall open world game
>>715380097Whats wrong with escapism? The world is shit
>>715381796Turning dogshit gran turismo game into forza horizon is fucking retarded. Why naming it gran turismo at this point? I know that current gt isn't worthy of that name either, but that has been the case from gt6 release.
>>715387949Escaping to the world of sunshine and rainbows is retarded.
Find hobby and passion in your life that isn't just masturbating to a vision of the life you will never have.
>>715378337 (OP)I don't think every racing game needs to be open world but it makes a lot of sense for some of them to be open world. Especially if the devs have a talent for creating pretty scenery I could see why some people would want more of that.
>doomerfaggots are so bitter and sad they get mad at people asking for more driving space in driving games
>>715378337 (OP)zoomers instinctively flock towards things like free roam and free palestine because everything else nowadays is paid
I grew up with an n64 and as a kid I always loved Mario Kart 64 the most because of how huge and intriguing the tracks were and I always tried to go out of bounds to explore stuff in it and basically every other game I got attached to
I love exploring and being in places it feels like I shouldn't be, and I love atmosphere in a game more than anything which comes with having a cohesive feeling world
the new mario kart feels like it was literally made exactly for me, the open world and being able to fully explore it while listening to a literally god tier soundtrack of big band arrangements of the entire mario series while putting the princesses in cute outfits and being able to just drive through this really interesting and real looking place without getting cucked by lakitu or under the pressure of a race is really really fun
I can be driving along taking pictures of stupid shit and then find a track and spend half an hour just seamlessly going through it practicing all these crazy maneuvers and routes I saw other people doing online ahead of me and it makes the game basically entirely seamless, even online instead of a shitty menu you're just in the open world and can drive around and fuck with other players while it loads the next race and it's so much more fun moment to moment and lets me practice too while I wait if I want
>>715388602Because you will end up doing fenta or as an alcoholic. Learn to do things for different reason than just escaping reality
>>715378859do you have a list of recommended AC mods? I just bought it
I just want to drive around I find it carthartic.

He may be stupid, but I agree with the indian that GT has zero freedom
>Download one of the games, "Sport" because it's free and I heard it has plenty of content since the final update
>just want to drive a little and get used to shit, so pick the arcade mode instead of career
>two options, race against cpu or time trials
>pick time trials
>pick a track, and a time of day, it's lookin good
>OK NOW PICK ONE OF THESE 10 SUPER HIGH-END CARS YOU CAN'T PICK ANYTHING ELSE
>ok I picked one, can I just drive now
>starts you on a rolling start at max speed a bit before the goal
>look it up, no way to change this
>why
>big ass timer on the center on the screen you can't hide, I just want to chill for God's sake, but I guess I can't complain since this is time trials
>game is blasting horrible high-speed zoomer music, though apparently the soundtrack is an outlier for the series in terms of quality
>have to go back to the main menu it I want to turn it off
>drive around, turned off all the assist shit because I want shit to be as real as possible
>it's fun
>smash into a wall
>don't care, having fun
>"let me just drive back onto the road and-"
>game teleports you back on the track 0.5 seconds after leaving the road
>...maybe I can just set up a 99 lap race with zero opponents- nope, you can't do that either
I just wanted to drive and chill, is a "free drive" mode really so hard
>"erm, just play GTA dude"
with decent driving physics
guess I'll just buy assetto corsa...
>>715388530They're asking for bad track design
