Vindictus is instanced-based physics based fighting/action game that got taken over by booba money so the newest content is basically constant boss rush updates as opposed to the earlier game's linear beat-em-up mook segments capped by bosses of varying difficulty. Its insanely precise in its hitboxes (note that picrel is not iframes or even dodges, but someone using the smaller profile of one of his charge attacks to sit below the boss' hitbox.
You can also do some neat stuff with mooks, like picking them up and pile driving them, scraping their faces on the wall, smashing boards over their heads, flash bang them (and almost every boss for the first two seasons), chuck spears through them, drag them around with chains, etc.
The bosses in raids and in newer content for the most recent two seasons have no weakness to these and instead have unique mechanics in each, stuff like deployable barriers to stop 1HKOs or downing a dragon with spears (less cool than the older form of downing with ballistae but people are too OP now to bother with that), which are cool in their own right but less cool than it was back in the first season, theres still kino to be had, its just less consistent than before.
The good news is like DFO/Khazan, they opted to make a new version of the game that returns to the first season and old combat (with some changes, sadly no wrestling moves so far), there was recently an alpha test but supposedly we get another test before EOY, so if you see "Vindictus: Defying fates" its the new one, its also sick and you should play that too (but remember to not use lock-on because that shit is a trick to fuck you up bad, its designed for a free camera)
DFO i'll leave to the OP, because I only clocked a few dozen hours in it years back, but in short its a 2d mmo beat-em-up that left nexon and I believe is still f2p, good shit.
