>>715392997 the dungeons do get better but you'll always be working within the roguelite framework the second town isn't as interesting as the first one IMO, but it does get better after that
the second game is well worth a look even if you don't particularly care for the first one

Idk how I ever managed to get through this on PS2 back in the day.
on emulator with speed up its just playable.
biggest flaws:
>the main guy has to open the town pieces and the menu takes too long for how many times you have to do it >cant bind manual repair powder to active item slot >only 3 active item slots >auto-repair cant stack in active item slot >swapping characters menu takes a bit too long >have to use the sling shot guy or ruby because each attack only takes 1 WHP so chances of breaking and perma-losing weapon is pretty much impoissible. >WHP isnt gated,so if you have 5 HP left on your weapon and you smack a dragon that does 6 HP get fucked >shops inventory is kind of lacking >back areas sometimes dont have gems in chests, you can go out and back in but chests dont reload. >stunlock enemies that feel cheap
>>715394960 its the same game until the end my friend so unfortunately I don't think you'll enjoy the rest

>>715392825 (OP) I never beat this game because the melee characters were trash so I never used them and I couldn’t get past the floors where you had to only use them

>>715399007 yea I know you press select but theres nothing quick about it

A cat is fine too; the game. Seriously, she was cute. Never did unlock her ultimate weapon when I was a kid, even though I did beat the game. Also, was this the PSX game with the hidden superboss from fishing, or am I thinking of the wrong game?
>>715393292 I swear I feel like I'm the only person on the planet that had this game for Dreamcast. It's funny too because it's one of the main games that live rent free in my head but I never played it because the disc was fucked up or something, I just never threw it away and just kept the disc and case.
>>715401229 Had tons of fun with this one. Got the PS2 one too for the extra characters. Had added magic attacks too. GC version didn't have the long load times of the PS2 version.
