The tactical nuclear option for getting rid of OCD is high dose fluvoxamine (Luvox) and 2000 mg NAC (N-acetylcysteine). It will get rid of your OCD completely.

I don't. I have been playing the same game I hate for a year, until I beat it the "right" way.
It's been like that for me, for years.

I've been dealing with it for 12 years. It never gets any easier.

The best way is to just refrain from doing your compulsions. That's essentially what exposure and response therapy consists of. I don't know how much of your obsessions are mental rather than physical but reading this website has been helping me a lot lately:

This helped as well until it stopped. You build tolerance for this stuff after a while and it ends up not doing anything for you anymore. I've considered taking a bigger dose but I'm worried about having a bad trip.

Also OP, if you're considering taking medication, do so with extreme caution. I took Zoloft for a period of 6 months and it ruined my life in ways that I still haven't recovered from 2 years later. On the other hand, some people say that it's been a lifechanger for them. The choice is yours, but I just can't recommend in good faith that anyone take SSRIs unless they absolutely need to.

It’s different for every person but for me its not a cure but it soothes my brain from having too many thoughts and if i feel trapped it makes it easier to get out of that headspace and not be stuck doing rituals. Ive been on it for roughly 5 years now with ups and downs for dosage.

When I got off SSRIs I couldn't get a proper boner for a month. Its crazy how much these things can affect your body in weird ways, the potential side effects list is like two pages long for a reason.

but also yeah that guy is right, ignore your compulsions as much as possible, especially if it's stuff that you know you don't want or need to do like grind for an item you don't need or some bullshit like over-washing your hands. That's the way you manage it.

Probiotics (restoring gut flora), seems to be helping me personally. I’ve been eating Skyr brand yogurt and fermenting fruit juices from the grocery store.

>wtf do you mean fermenting
I’ve been buying 100% pure juices (various brands). I open them and take a sip out of the bottle and let it sit in my room (during summer heat), for a few days (usually takes about 2-4 days), until they start getting fizzy (carbonation buildup = natural bacteria native to the fruit is eating the sugar in the juice).

I’ve been doing this for several months now and have noticed marginal improvements to my OCD symptoms. I’ve also been having intense dreams again after almost a decade of not dreaming at all during my 20’s (currently in my mid 30’s).

>isn’t that alcoholic?
As far as I know, no. Alcohol requires yeast. This is bacterial fermentation, which is how vinegar is made. It’s also a healthier alternative to artificial sodas like Pepsi and coke. It’s delicious too.

I’ve recently been branching out and also buying juices with more refined/processed sugars like High Frictos Corn Syrup. My theory is that I can cultivate a particular strain of bacteria that’s good at breaking down all this processed chemical crap they put into our foods.

Cont...

You can add a shot of lemon juice to speed up the fermentation process (bacteria love acidic environments).

My regiment for cultivating juice bacteria is to buy 3 different brands that are 3 different fruit types.
Example.
>Welches grape
>Indian Summer apple
>Ocean Spray cranberry

I let each juice ferment until it’s nice and bubbly, then I drink each bottle down to 1/3rd per bottle, then I mix them all into a single bottle to let the different bacterias crossbreed and then use that as a starter for the next batch of 3 juices.

I’ve recently discovered you can also do this for vegetable juices like V8 as well (more bacterial biodiversity).

Don't play open world checklist games and games designed to waste your time. If you are going to be compulsive with any game something pick smaller or more linear titles. Shorter intervals to complete an area so you can "move on".

man did I have bad vidya ocd as a kid. I remember reloading save games because I didnt "perform" correctly. and I dont mean like trying to get a high score or take less damage fighting a boss. I'm talking about walking around towns and talking to npcs in an rpg. "Oh no I forgot to press the walk button and sprinted sloppily all over this guys house. That character would never do that. Time to reload."

It was like I was acting through the game character and needed another take
