actual working anisotropic filtering. this has actually broken with a lot of modern games and modern gpus.

Less polygons means the surfaces are flatter and the textures are more clear.

i don't have them anymore, but i redid a couple of old game textures with pbr, and it looked fantastic. just gotta do it right.
