I bought this game when it was new because I wanted to be in on a hot new thing while it was trending for once. Thought it was boring, not really worth the price imo

I haven't been tricked but after playing it for a fair amount of time my opinion on Stardew Valley has shifted to consider it a 7/10 rather than the masterpiece a lot of its fans claim it as. The main and biggest issue I have it its combat. It sucks and is boring. And it's compounded how boring the dungeon exploration with the cave being just you smashing a bunch of rocks until you find the exit.

This would have been neat if there was more depth or actual challenge, but instead it's just sailing around doing the same boring mini game over and over.

It's such a shame because the base mechanics are solid but the whole Lovecraftian aspect has been squandered and the quests and locations are too shallow.
I really hoped this would be more like sunless sea but it's just a chill fishing game.
