Of course the game is more difficult if you can't see what's happening on screen.

The camera fucking sucks. Lock-on sucks. Many times you see your upper body occupying 80% of the screen and constantly changing the camera distance. Automatically lock on to a far ass grunt while you have the boss next to you.

Half of the inputs don't get registered and some inputs get buffered for ever. You get stucked on geometry and I don't know why fromsoft keeps insisting on making platforming when they have no fucking idea how to, moving in these games feel horrible

Half of the info is not shown to the player, core mechanics like posture bars. Endless animations and stupid hitboxes and tracking that make no sense. The UI sucks ant the particles also suck and give you no information.

Of course it is a difficult game. It is a badly programmed game and half of the difficulty is dealing with the bullshit programming.

You also have a levels system, ghosts and ashes of war that completely break the game, so playing this game the "right way" makes it one of the most braindead DPS ever. You can have a good and difficult game without using bad programming as an excuse. This is just masturbation because you cope with am ass game. Fromsoft hadn't learned to program in decades and you keep sucking corporations off.

It's funny to me that people say souls is one of the best sagas ever when they are just badly designed and programmed games.

I play with keyboard and mouse, maunally controlling the camera and never using the lock-on.
It almost fells like this was the intended experience if not for the awful default keybinds which I changed.

this happened to me in my first dungeon and instantly turned me off from wasting any more time with this turd. walked into a room with my shield up and three enemies waiting to ambush. after a brief attack and reposition, I thought I re-raised my shield and was surprised to find my character just getting raped by all three enemies because my defense was down. shield was never raised despite the button being held. it's really curious how From Shit gayms are the only ones where this happens and never anytime in DMC, GoW, or NG....

Elden mid...worst game Fromsoft has ever made...

I beat malenia without doing a challenge run for the first time in forever and it was pretty easy. Other than a point-blank waterfowl or the attack where she summons ghosts her combos are simple to learn.

I killed one without taking any damage last night and I couldn't tell you half of what the fucking thing was doing during the fight. I just stood next to it and attacked and eventually it died and I was on the other side of the room from where I started. It was like riding a roller coaster.
