This doesn't apply to JRPGs though. Final Fantasy was already the slop of the genre that floated to the top and most people praising them due it for nostalgia or because they haven't played other JRPGs in the same era. It was very common for normalfags to have a couple Final Fantasy games among the other shit they played, much less common to have literally any other JRPG because most people playing Final Fantasy are just FF fans and not JRPG fans.
