I don't see this being talked about often. Got it for five bucks and I feel like a thief.

Before we start, faggots complaining about having to muh look at the map midrace when said map is small and quickly memorized need not to reply. Plus you have street signs and blinkers if you're that easily lost.
>but muh fixed map that doesn't rotate is confusing

Nigga if you're coming from the north and want to take a right on the map you go left and vice versa that all you gotta remember. I scuttled around looking for opinions on the internet and had my fill of plebians crying about that.
Got any cool facts or things to say about the game that isn't about the map?
I got one, apparently the dynamic weather system was off'd when the game got remastered, no cloudy weather, no fog, why?

>Remastered

Play the original PC version or 360 version instead since they both look great and all license songs included. That said it's better than revenge and probably the most owned Burnout copy by people since it's sales were high. Everything about the game is great and I love the challenge. I've replayed it multiple times.

>i just wish there weren't 500 online only challenges reqiring different amounts of people

You should be able to complete them offline especially on PC. I don't think they matter since it's just for online leaderboards.

It's not. Takedown was the peak and Paradise was the swansong. Both were equally good. Revenge even on the 360 (superior port) feels weird compared to both.

shut the fuck up.
This is a legitimate criticism.
Burnout Paradise is not a burnout game if you have to look at a map during a race. Even fucking Mario Kart World has the basic fucking decency to make their intermission races closed circuit.

Theirs no mod. Unless you mean importing the mp3 into the game. Again your better off playing the 360 version.

That's cool because it's not a carbon copy of burnout games. It's a midnight club X burnout game.
Picking a street in a split second shouldn't be a big problem if you're into burnout anyway grandpa. My reflexes are shit so I plan out to compensate.

Diamond P12 is just for doing all 500 online challenges.

>The Jansen P12 Diamond is a glorious variant of the Jansen P12 only granted to those that have completed all 500 Freeburn Challenges. it was introduced with the 1.9 update and requires the Big Surf Island pack.

Freeburn challenges are an online thing.
>How many hours did it take you?
No idea as i played burnout paradise from day one and I played a lot so by the time big surf dropped and added a few extra challenges it only took me a short while to beat the added ones and thus get the P12 diamond.

I have beaten this game multiple times.
it is still great, however the pc release still have some bugs apparently. Really makes me wish EA would have continue with the series.
Some of the devs tried reviving it with dangerous driving but that game sucks ass.

You missed the whole point of why the open map design is awful for the game, but I wasn't expecting better from a paradisetard

No fag I'm saying the criticism is misdirected. I can offer some critical flaws about paradise.
Unlike classic burnout it lacks diversity, the scenery blends into one large race in a city that lacks striking characteristics, there's the countryside and downtown. And you can't restart your missions. That's it.
But design wise it's working decently enough. You never stop to think where to go, you gets on a loop of stopping at traffic signs to do trials or fuck around with beating scores, hunting super jumps and breaking shit to unlock more shit. Being unable to redo races isn't even a big glaring flaw because like I said it loops around and there's stuff to do at every corners so if you fail you can hop on another race in five seconds and it'll progress your driving license all the same. It's fine. It's different. Burnout had its limitations too it wasn't some grand driving simulator for fucks sake you were mostly trading paint with the walls and going on a straight line avoiding whatever's coming your way so what? Was it the perfect, unbeatable, divine game standing far above everything that came after? No it was dumb fun and paradise is dumb fun too.
But Paradise has his own tricks and qualities to make it stand out. Engines sound great, tracks are cool, car's type being sorted out by boost makes it a little tricker and so does the traffic at top speed being a threat even when standing in your lane.

Then do we hear about that the moment people shit all over it? No it's all about the map being hard to read, and the map "badly designed" what the fuck is badly designed about the map the overpass? The highway? 80yo fart can't react in time to take the exits and ramps and turn at the right corner so they pretend like it's a bad game?

Yeah except when you've already completed those races but not the one you just failed so the longer the game goes on the more you're specifically looking for the starting points of the races you haven't done yet.

It's happening at the very end thoubleit, and special unique tests to upgrade cars. I'm not bombing the game for a small oversight that's causing butthurt to some at the last permit.

And for the last point I disrespectfully agree to unagree.
