I like that unlike other stealth games. You can actually get away with a hostile playstyle. Most games like this would have made you a defenseless victim. But Garrett isn't a weak bitch. He's not the greatest swordsman but he's at least decent with a sword

I wish there was a way to play Expert without the kill restriction. The extra objectives, different supplies placements and less survivability are good but I kinda like the janky haggard tough combat in certain situations. It's more interesting than the blackjack dance under a shadow to get a knockout while alerted.

On Hard you're not allowed to kill servants/civilians, on Expert you're not allowed to kill guards. On Normal you're allowed to kill but everything else is easier too and there's less objectives. Nobody really plays Normal for the definitive experience.

Playing on Hard prohibits killing unarmed people and on Expert killing anyone is an instant game over. Only Normal lets you freely kill people.

early missions especially 99 ones are very hack and slash friendly, also this ones obvious but fms with assassination tag in thiefguild might be more likely to allow killing, at least some of them. but yeah there aren't too many options when it comes to non-supernatural missions that allow killing
